A message from Persian Mammut: Thanks, original dissapeared as the group suddenly dissappeared.
The Iranian Mack F700 trucks are my ambition.Their wheels are 25 inchs, normal highway trucks wheels are 20 inchs.There were a lot of them in Ankara and Turkey in 1970's and 1980's.Nearly all the Ankara Transportations companies had got Iranian Mack F700 trucks in 70' and 80', like "Erşen", "Tuzcuoğlu", "Acar Nakliyat". Turkish truck driver called Iranian Mack's "Piç Mack"! Its mean "bastard Mack" !
There is the Iranian Mack history below;
History of the Iranian Mack trucks(Iran-Kaveh)
Iran Kaveh Industrial Company was established in 1964 to assemble American "Mack" trucks. The company started assembling operations since 1968, however, after Islamic Revolution interrupted relations with the USA caused sharp decrease in production so that the manufacture of "Mack" finally ceased in 1983. Then, this company engaged merely in producing different types of trailers, and dump trucks, but in 1988 it established new set of cooperation with Swedish "Volvo" company to manufacture "Volvo F12" trucks. In 1999, Iran Kaveh merged with SAIPA and formed SAIPA Diesel Manufacturing Group

Thanks for your story, great information! Are any of those Turkish Macks or Kenworths still in the country? Unfortunately they are not seen around in Western Europe anymore...
Unfotunately there are not any Mack or other American trucks in Turkey today! In the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's and 1980's , Turkey was the big American vehicles park!
The Iran-Kaveh Mack F700 trucks were the very famous American trucks but there were a lot of Whites, Kenworths,International and other trucks.
In the 1960's , the American Chrysler and International trucks factories were opened in Turkey. Unfortunately they were closed in 80's. I will send Turkish Chrysler and International trucks photos later.

Yes I will also be there. Wouldn't it be nice to bring some of your Macks overthere? It is the 30th edition of the Mack day. Hopefully it will be better weather then last year....
